1. What does the DJ wear at wedding
receptions?
You determine the DJ's
dress code.
The choices are:
- Formal (Tuxedo)
- Semi-Formal (Suit and
Tie)
- Casual (Polo Shirt with
Mr. Lobbo Logo)
- Theme Attire (example:
Hawaiian Shirt).
2.
Do you execute announcements?
Unless you designate a
host, the Mr. Lobbo
DJ will complete all desired announcements and serve as Master of
Ceremonies (MC). This may include introduction of the wedding party;
invitation to join the buffet; encouraging participation in the garter
and bouquet tosses; special acknowledgements; and the introduction of
the first dance, and any additional bridal or family dances.
3.
What is your equipment presentation?
Mr. Lobbo sets up the
equipment required for
your specific event's needs. We take in consideration the number of
guests, the size of the facility, and whether the event is indoors or
out. We use only professional quality equipment, multiple speaker
configuration and wireless microphones. Specialty dance floor lighting
where appropriate. Typical lighting; four colored spot lights chase to
the music, two multi-colored specialty lights with built in microphones
respond to the music, two slow rotating white lights or a disco ball
and spot light for slow dancing. Other lighting options are available.
All other supplies are stored out-of sight or in attractive containers
and all wires are taped down.
4.
What is your set-up and load out time?
With our efficient
equipment organization,
and manpower applied to set-up, and load out, we usually require no
more than 30 minutes to set up the sound system. We always arrive 60
minutes before the scheduled start time to set-up. We strive to be
ready at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Typical tear
down and load out time is 30 minutes or less.
5.
Do you feature a wide variety of music?
Mr. Lobbo has one of the
most complete music
libraries in the business with popular dance selections from many
formats including pop, country, oldies, disco, big band, ballroom,
classic rock, and top 40. Our background music selection includes
classical, smooth jazz, light pop, soft rock, piano instrumentals, and
adult standards. Equally important to the size of the music library is
the DJ's experience that can assist in selecting the right song at the
right moments for your event!
6.
Do you take requests before and at the event?
Mr. Lobbo includes a song
list of the 200
most popular party songs for the current year with our Information
Packet. We also solicit your suggestions to feature the type of musical
presentation you desire! At the event we accept musical suggestions and
use our judgment and your guidelines in selecting crowd-pleasing tunes.
7.
Do you take breaks during the event?
Although Mr. Lobbo
appreciates thoughtful
clients who allow our DJ's to enjoy a meal during a four or five-hour
event, the music does not stop! We have in our library music
compilations that will track through a meal break without interruption
and provide desired ambient or dance music.
8.
What is your availability for specific dates?
Mr. Lobbo Pro DJ Service is a
multi-system operator established in
1992. Your event is special and unique. We devote all the energy, and
focus required to make your event memorable. The many letters of
reference testify to the level of confidence and satisfaction of our
customers. When a perspective customer contacts us, we determine
availability, and send out a Packet of Information. Mr. Lobbo holds
that availability open for seven calendar days from day of mailing.
After seven days, if no follow up contact or agreement has been
negotiated the date is made available to the next perspective customer.
A desired date is guaranteed when a contract is signed and returned
with a one hundred dollar deposit. All deposits are refundable if an
event is not carried out (cancelled) for any reason.
9.
Do you moderate the volume of the music?
Mr. Lobbo understands
that the meal and
cocktail potions of the wedding reception are times for socializing. We
facilitate that part of the event with appropriate jazz, classical or
light pop selections delivered at a comfortable volume level. When you
are ready to dance, the music volume is upgraded to a party level and
monitored to conform to local ordinances, facility demands and/or
client desires!
10.
How
much help can we expect in planning the reception?
Mr. Lobbo will work with
you to formulate a
plan that will include what you want, with some of our expertise. The
bottom line is that you have full control of the final product, after
all, our motto is: It's Your Party!
